For Detective Inspector Helen Grace it's chilling evidence that she's searching for a monster who is not just twisted but also clever and resourceful - a predator who's killed before. And as Helen struggles to understand the killer's motivation, she begins to realize that she's in a desperate race against time . . .

Arlidge knows how to write a series that gives readers the effect of adrenaline pumping and fast page turning! The Helen Grace series is one every crime fiction reader must pick up!

THE DOLL'S HOUSE tells of a woman gone missing and another body of woman found buried on a beach. To avoid causing chaos, the police department don't reveal that both events are possibly connected. DI Helen Grace, however, recognizes a pattern with both incidents and is soon on a mission to hunt down a serial killer and save the life of a missing woman.

Ever since picking up the first book in the Helen Grace series, I've been talking nonstop about them to fellow crime fiction lovers and after reading THE DOLL'S HOUSE, I will definitely not be stopping anytime soon. This third installment was nothing but suspenseful, addictive and heart pounding just as the last two books. Arlidge knows how to write a series that gives readers the effect of adrenaline pumping and fast page turning!

THE DOLL'S HOUSE is basically all I, and other readers love in a book. Short but engrossing chapters, a kick ass, smart, female lead that has flaws and her own personal demons, and a twisted yet intelligent killer that you can't help but hate. Helen has now become one of my all time favorite female leads and I'm 100000x positive that others will feel the same!

The Helen Grace series is one that I recommend wholeheartedly if you love crime fiction. Arlidge perfectly executes the detective vs killer scenarios and you'll find yourself staying up late at night to finish!

The arsonists strikes at night, targeting residents all over the city as they are sound asleep in their homes. Helen is yet again facing off with time itself as she and her team try to bring in the arsonist before more innocent lives are burned away.

M. J. Arlidge has once again delivered a fast-paced, engaging and thrilling installment in the Helen Grace series and I couldn't put it down! I've never read a crime fiction novel about a serial arsonists and I'm happy to say that Arlidge kept me on my toes with this one!

Although this book was enjoyable, one problem I had with it was the lack of character development with Helen. She felt different this time around with not learning much about her as we did in the previous books and at some points in the book I could already tell what would happen before it did. It was definitely a disappointment because I always enjoyed getting to see deeper into our female leads past. Even though I had a little disappoint with the story, it definitely didn't stop me from enjoying it. The plot twists at the end hit me like a freight train and I'm once again applauding Arlidge for his ability to add plot twists at the perfect moment!

LIAR LIAR, although it had it's flaws, certainly wasn't a bad read. If you're new to the crime fiction genre, I highly recommend picking this series up. With a bad ass female lead and plot twists at almost every corner, I guarantee you'll be binge reading on this series all week. I'm already looking forward to the next book LITTLE BOY BLUE, releasing this October!
