All twelve years of Eden's life have been spent in an antique oil lamp. She lives like a princess inside her tiny, luxurious home; but to Eden, the lamp is nothing but a prison. She hates being a genie. All she wants, more than anything, is freedom. When Eden finds a gateway to Earth within the lamp, she takes her chance and enters the world she loves. And this time, she won't be sent back after three wishes. Posing as the new kid at a California middle school, Eden revels in all of Earth's pleasures--but quickly learns that this world isn't as perfect as she always thought it was. Eden soon finds herself in the middle of a centuries-old conflict between powerful immortals. A ruthless organization run by a former genie will stop at nothing to acquire the lamp and its power--even hurt Tyler and Sasha, the new mortal friends who have given Eden a home. To save her friends and protect the lamp's magic, Eden must decide once and for all where she belongs.

Fun, magical, and utterly charming, Crowl's debut novel is fast paced and filled with fantasy and adventure that is sure to grab you from the very first page!

Eden's Wish tells of Eden, a twelve year old girl who is a genie. However, for the past twelve years, she has despised being one and desperately wishes for a chance at freedom. As fate would have it, she discovers a way out of the lamp and is taken out into the real world for a chance to live as a normal human being, just like the ones she and many other genie's, have granted wishes for.

On Earth, Eden quickly makes friends and even poses as the new kid at a public middle school. However, things take a turn for worse and Eden is soon mixed up in a century-old conflict between powerful immortal genie's. She now has to save her friends and loved ones, along with the magic of the lamp, all before it's too late...

Fun. Charming. Magical. Adorable. Those are just some of the words I would use if I were asked to describe this novel. From the very first page, I was immediately hooked into the story. Crowl's writing style was refreshing, fun and filled with witty humor that I immediately adored! Not only that, but the author weaved in magic all in the right places, which also created a fast-paced story full of action and adventure that I just couldn't tear my eyes away from!

With our main character Eden, at first, it was a little hard for me to connect with her due to the way she seemed slightly bratty as well as naive. But as I got deeper into the story, I was finally able to connect with her and I have to say, I truly enjoyed her character! I found her to be quirky, full of humor, and even charming. Not only that, but with her small streak of mischievous, it just enlarged my liking towards her! Although she may have seemed naive at times, I certainly enjoyed reading about her and I'm excited to see what lies ahead for her in the next installment of the series!

In conclusion, Tara M. Crowl created a fascinating world for readers of all ages in this stunning debut novel. Eden's Wish was certainly a wonderful, enjoyable and quirky read and I am most definitely going to be picking up the next one in the series!
