Hercules Movie & Waiting On Wednesday #1

Happy Wednesday!

Soo, guess who went to the movies last Sunday with her family and got to see her handsome celeb crush on the big screen? *looks around* What?! Yes, that's right. It was me!

When I first saw him on the screen, I was literally screaming in my head. But you can't blame me, what straight girl/woman wouldn't scream when she see's Dwayne Johnson? Heck, I'm pretty sure lesbian girls would flip for him! Let's just say, when the movie finished, I was in a puddle of my drool.

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that I am eagerly anticipating.

The three books that I can't wait to get my hands on are;

Title: Winterspell
Author: Claire Legrand
Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult, Historical Fiction, & Romance
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: September 30th, 2014
The clock chimes midnight, a curse breaks, and a girl meets a prince . . . but what follows is not all sweetness and sugarplums.

New York City, 1899. Clara Stole, the mayor's ever-proper daughter, leads a double life. Since her mother's murder, she has secretly trained in self-defense with the mysterious Drosselmeyer.

Then, on Christmas Eve, disaster strikes.

Her home is destroyed, her father abducted--by beings distinctly not human. To find him, Clara journeys to the war-ravaged land of Cane. Her only companion is the dethroned prince Nicholas, bound by a wicked curse. If they're to survive, Clara has no choice but to trust him, but his haunted eyes burn with secrets--and a need she can't define. With the dangerous, seductive faery queen Anise hunting them, Clara soon realizes she won't leave Cane unscathed--if she leaves at all.

Inspired by The Nutcracker, Winterspell is a dark, timeless fairy tale about love and war, longing and loneliness, and a girl who must learn to live without fear.
to plan, the inevitable “break up” leaves their friendship in shambles, and Aly and Brandon with feelings they can’t explain. And the fake couple discovers pretending can sometimes cost you the one thing you never expected to want.

Why I Want to Read It: I always love a good fantasy book and this one seems like it! I love the synopsis and it makes me want to sleep in the bookstore till it arrives! I hope I won't be disappointed with this one. :)

Title: Embers (The Wings of War #1)
Author: Karen Ann Hopkins
Genre: Fantasy, Paranormal, Young Adult & Romance
Publisher: Karen Ann Hopkins
Expected Publication: October 21, 2014

There are descendants of angels walking among us. Ember is one of them. And she may be the only hope mankind has as the rapture approaches and evils rises.

Embers is an epic paranormal adventure about a seventeen year old girl who discovers that she's immune to fire and any other injury when she’s in a horrific car crash that kills her parents. Following a violent episode with her aunt's boyfriend, Ember flees Ohio to live with an old relative in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Ember's exuberance at escaping a bad home life soon turns to trepidation when she finds out that she's a Watcher, a descendant of angels.

While Ember learns about her heritage, and the powers that go along with it, she strikes up friendships with two teenagers who live in a frightening walled compound in the forest. Inexplicitly drawn to one of the young men in particular, an impossible romance develops. But it is cut short when Ember discovers that her new friends are fighting on the opposite side of a war, one that’s been raging between two factions of Watchers for thousands of years.

When the compound’s inhabitants threaten the townspeople, Ember takes action, sealing her fate in the ancient battle of good versus evil, and the grayness in between. Ember is up to the challenge, until she realizes that she isn’t only fighting for the lives of the locals and the souls of her new friends. She also might be one of the few champions who will make a stand for all of mankind as the rapture approaches and the end of days begin.

Why I Want to Read It: Um, hello? Who doesn't love a romance book with angels? Definitely sounds like something I would love to read. :) Plus, how freaking beautiful is that cover?

Title: Famous Last Words
Author: Katie Alender
Genre: Mystery, Young Adult, Contemporary
Publisher: Scholastic, Inc.
Publication Date: September 30, 2014

Hollywood history, mystery, murder, mayhem, and delicious romance collide in this unputdownable thriller from master storyteller Katie Alender.

Willa is freaking out. It seems like she's seeing things. Like a dead body in her swimming pool. Frantic messages on her walls. A reflection that is not her own. It's almost as if someone -- or something -- is trying to send her a message.

Meanwhile, a killer is stalking Los Angeles -- a killer who reenacts famous movie murder scenes. Could Willa's strange visions have to do with these unsolved murders? Or is she going crazy? And who can she confide in? There's Marnie, her new friend who may not be totally trustworthy. And there's Reed, who's ridiculously handsome and seems to get Willa. There's also Wyatt, who's super smart but unhealthily obsessed with the Hollywood Killer.

All Willa knows is, she has to confront the possible-ghost in her house, or she just might lose her mind . . . or her life.

Why I Want to Read It: I always LOVE a good mystery book with a hint of romance! This one seems like the perfect book to lay out in the sun and read. I am terribly excited for this one to come out!

What book(s) are you eagerly anticipating? Did I mention any of them?

Happy reading!
